Quick Exit

We know that there are many barriers for individuals when trying to escape their abusive relationship. One of these concerns can be the worry that they can not take their dog or cat with them.

We don’t want a dog or cat to be another barrier for someone taking that step to safety

  • We are aware that pets are a source of comfort to someone experiencing domestic abuse
  • Perpetrators of the abuse may neglect, harm or make threats to harm the dog
  • Availability of pet friendly accommodation can be limited

Did you know that the Dogs Trust have a free and specialist dog fostering project, helping you find a temporary home for your dog with a loving foster carer until you  are safe, settled and ready to have them back.
