We are looking to recruit for the following post;
MAINTENANCE TRAINEE (AHA Grade 3 – £ 33,887 to £37,653) 35 hours
Angus Housing Association is a key provider of affordable housing for rent in Dundee and Angus. We have Offices in Arbroath and Dundee from which we manage over 2,000 homes.
Angus Housing Association is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and skilled individual on a permanent basis within our Asset Management Team.
We are looking to attract and nurture talent to ensure the future viability and sustainability of our workforce. Working within our Asset Management Team, this post will learn about all aspects of property maintenance, from customer service, reactive maintenance, improvement programmes and sustainability.
The role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience in property maintenance and management.
The role is designed for individuals pursuing a career in social housing, offering hands-on experience and study support to work towards a a recognised qualification.
The postholder will enrol at University of Highlands and Islands to complete an HNC in Construction Management. This is a day release course, 1 day each week based at the Perth campus. There is a minimum entry requirement which candidates would need to meet (please see Job Profile or link below for more information).
You should be a self-starter, have an interest in social housing, possess good computing skills, strong communication skills, have a willingness to learn and be a problem solver. You should have the ability to engage confidently with customers and colleagues. You should have excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in using O365 is desirable. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
This is a permanent post however we are unable to guarantee when the opportunity to progress to Officer level will arise.
