Angus Housing Association now operates a Choice-Based Lettings system (CBL) for all our properties.

This system is designed to give applicants more choice in where they want to live, instead of the traditional approach of being allocated a property. It works on a principle of you noting your interest when a property becomes available.  To apply for housing with us, you will have to register with These Homes, please visit www.thesehomes.com to complete an application form online.

Priority is still awarded to tenants based on their level of housing need.

If you are eligible for a priority pass, you will be issued the pass type that is relevant to your current housing circumstances. The level of priority that you are awarded will be based on the information you have submitted during the registration process. Therefore, it is very important that you give us enough information to make a decision. There may be times when we need to ask for more information, such as a doctor’s letter to support your medical needs. If you have any changes in your circumstances please log in to your These Homes account to update your application.

The three levels of priority band passes are:-

Gold – Statutory Homeless, severally over or under occupying  home and high medical priority 

Silver – At risk of homelessness, overcrowding, or under occupying a home and medium medical priority

Bronze – No immediate threat of homelessness, low medical priory

No Pass – Adequately housed/no housing need

When a Priority Pass is not Awarded

There may be times when a priority pass is not awarded due to households being adequately housed. You can still apply for housing without a priority pass, however it is very unlikely that you will be allocated a property this way.

It is Your Responsibility to Ensure Your Registration Form is Up To Date  

Please ensure your registration form is up to date and all requested ID and supporting documents have been updated prior to adverts closing. An application for a property will be bypassed if all documents have not been uploaded once the shortlisting has commenced.

We will advertise our available properties via These Homes on Tuesdays and Thursdays

You can apply for properties that you are interested in and that meet your housing requirements. It is important that you register with These Homes as you will be responsible for expressing interest in available properties online, we will no longer allocate a property to you. Applicants will be able to choose the properties they would like to be considered for. You can also manage your application online, to update your contact details or report a change in your circumstances.
