Universal Credit Claimants – Update Housing Costs

Universal Credit – Important Rent Update
If you receive Universal Credit, you must update your new rent amount on your Universal Credit online account.
🗣️ If you have a phone claim please call – 0800 328 5644 from Thursday 2nd April and update them with your new rent figure over the phone.
Why this is important?
Universal Credit does not automatically update your rent. If your journal shows the old figure, your housing costs may be paid incorrectly.
What you need to do
✅ Log in to your Universal Credit account (from 1st April)
✅ Complete the ‘to‑do’ asking you to confirm your new rent amount
✅ Make sure the figure matches your new rent figure. All tenants should have received a letter with their new rent figure. If you do not have this, please give us a call.
 If you don’t update your rent, you could miss out on help with housing costs or build up rent arrears.
